1. Who we are
Garage BSR Inc. (“Bulmer Service & Repairs”, “we”) runs a general mechanical repair shop at 39-A Mill Street, Howick, Quebec J0S 1G0. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this site and how we handle it, under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
2. What we collect
This site has no customer account, no online store, no newsletter and no online booking.
- Contact form — if you write to us from the Contact page, you send us your name and email, and optionally your phone number, your vehicle details and your message. The form opens your own email program: the message reaches us as an ordinary email.
- Phone calls — if you call, we note what we need to prepare an estimate, order a part or set a time.
- Technical data — our host records connection data (IP address, browser type, date and time) for operation and security.
We collect no sensitive information through this site, and carry out no profiling or automated decision-making.
3. Why we use it
- to answer your questions and prepare an estimate;
- to set a time and carry out the agreed work;
- to order the parts your vehicle needs;
- to keep your vehicle’s service history;
- to keep the site running and secure.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we never sell or rent it.
4. Third parties with access
- GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.) hosts the site and records connection data.
- Google Fonts (Google LLC) serves the typefaces; your IP address is visible to Google when they load.
- Google Maps (Google LLC) displays the map on the Contact page; that embed may set cookies and send data to Google.
- Your email provider carries the message you send us.
We share your information with no other third party unless the law requires it. Some of these providers process data outside Quebec.
5. Retention
We keep emails and service records as long as needed to follow your vehicle and to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations. After that, information is destroyed or anonymised.
6. Your rights
Law 25 gives you the right to request:
- access to the information we hold about you;
- correction of anything inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdrawal of your consent;
- deletion, where the law allows it;
- a copy in a structured technological format (portability).
